How ELLEXMED is built.

AI Layer

Genkit 1.x + Gemini 2.5 Pro / 2.0 Flash. Deterministic safety gates run before every AI Suggest output. Neural vector gates use pgvector similarity search at calibrated thresholds.

Data Layer

Firebase Firestore for clinical data, Supabase + pgvector for drug knowledge graphs and DDI embeddings, Cloudflare R2 for file storage with signed URLs.

Auth & Access

Firebase Authentication with custom role claims. Staff cookies separate from patient portal cookies. Middleware enforces route-level access by role.

Compliance

Write-only audit logs via Admin SDK. Immutable clinical outcome ledger. AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit. US-Central1 data residency.
